The Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation “Get Active, Get Fit School Challenge” was hosted byRadioDisneyand Indiana Sports Corporation.The school challenge began in September and officially ended on November 26.The physical education teachers, Mindy Bangel and Jeremy Hartman led the campaign each morning on announcements with school wide exercises and advice on making healthy food choices. Teachers encouraged participation through classroom discussions, posters and min-challenges. Students were required to keep charts tracking their physical activities and food selections for 12 weeks.These charts were then submitted toRadioDisneyand Indiana Sports Corporation.CBIS received notification on Dec 23 that our school had some of the highest percentages of participation throughout the state; thus, CBIS5th and 6th grade students received aRadioDisneydance party.
